Galapagos hidden gem

Galapagos hidden gem: Our enchanted islands keep in its heart a huge diversity of natural life, only the ones who have been there know how heartwarming it is when you step out of the plane and feel the Galapagos breeze on your face. There’s no feeling that compares to when your eyes encounter the eyes of the true owners of the islands, the sea lions, iguanas, giant tortoises, galapagos penguins, blue-footed boobies and they give you a warming welcome to their place. No time will be enough to spend on this magical place with 13 major islands, 5 medium and 215 islets. Designated a Natural World Heritage site in 1976, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1984, and a Ramsar Site in 2001, a remarkable destination awaits your visit. What makes the Galapagos nature so remarkable?  Their landscapes are inspiring: blue seas teeming with unique marine life, stunning beaches, lush green highlands, and unforgettable underwater seascapes. The Galapagos Marine Reserve is the 2nd largest Marine Reserve in the World, and home to all kinds of endemic and native Galapagos Wildlife. In addition, the Galapagos is unique for both its natural beauty and the collaborative conservation efforts of many individuals. This can include: scientists, researchers, park rangers, locals, and foreign nationals who are working tirelessly to reverse the negative impacts caused by invasive species, with some encouraging progress. The Galapagos Islands hold a unique place in Natural History, inspiring Charles Darwin’s seminal work, “The Origin of Species,” in 1859. Perfect location The Galapagos Islands, straddling the equator, hold a unique position in the Pacific Ocean, spanning both hemispheres. This location marks the convergence of three oceanic currents, which generates a distinct marine environment where warm and cold waters intermingle, creating a beautiful turquoise sea that supports diverse marine life. Moreover, the islands are separated by significant distances, impeding easy migration of plant and animal species, and leading to the emergence of unique adaptations in each island’s organisms, with some species becoming exclusive to a particular island. What is the weather like in the islands?  The Galapagos region experiences a moderate climate with temperatures averaging between 65 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmest weather typically occurs between January and May, with temperatures peaking in the mid-eighties and humidity levels somewhat higher. Starting from June until November, the Humboldt Current causes the surrounding waters to cool down. Moreover, the blend of cool water and temperate air creates a light mist over the islands, defining the Galapagos’ garua season. Ecotourism Ecotourism goes beyond just admiring stunning scenery; it encompasses responsible and sustainable travel practices in areas of natural beauty. Additionally, this approach involves visiting relatively unspoiled and pristine locations while prioritizing environmental conservation, sustainability, and respecting the local communities. First of all, ecotourism aims to let travelers explore incredible destinations globally without disturbing locals’ lives or harming natural ecosystems. Instead, ecotourism encourages responsible and respectful travel practices that prioritize both the well-being of people and the environment. Enjoy a memorable, sustainable experience in the Galapagos Islands, admiring stunning landscapes and wildlife while prioritizing conservation. Here are some of the best ecotourism-friendly activities available on the islands: Snorkeling or diving: The Galapagos, renowned for snorkeling and diving, presents opportunities to witness colorful fish, dolphins, sea turtles, and other marine life. It’s important to have a trained instructor to guide you to a safe and sustainable area. Visiting nature reserves: Due to the abundance of endangered species in the Galapagos, there are several nature reserves to explore. Visiting these reserves allows intimate encounters with incredible creatures while supporting conservation efforts with your expenditure. Hiking: The Galapagos’ unspoiled landscapes are perfect for hiking. You can walk across fascinating terrains and come into contact with many of the islands’ creatures in their natural habitat, following designated trails for a safe and eco-friendly exploration. Bird watching: The Galapagos, a paradise for bird watchers, hosts unique species like the world’s smallest penguins, blue-footed boobies, and Darwin Finches. For sustainable bird watching, join organized excursions with local guides to appreciate and learn about birds responsibly. Essentials for your first MotoAdventure on Ecuador

If you’re wondering what to pack for your first Motorcycle Adventure on Ecuador, I got you on this. After lots of emails and whatsapps with the same question, What should I pack for my next trip to Ecuador? I resolved to write this to help all the newbies  on this exciting adventure tourism path. And as you might think, it is not as easy as it sounds. The first reason is you will be traveling to ride a motorcycle in another country and second, If it’s your first time in the country or even more in South America. Not many people know a lot about South America, far less any about Ecuador or where it is located. People know about our country because of our beautiful landscapes and sure, Galapagos, some think the country is just a bunch of jungle areas and small communities… a bit sad. Taking in account that many people know a lot of our neighbor Colombia or Peru, definitely their governments and its own citizens have done a better job when talking about promoting their countries and cultures. That is probably the main reason why we as Ecuador Bike Rental choose this winding path, to promote our country and let the world know more about us, sure, with a twist… going around riding motorcycles, off roading through it’s mountains, valleys, volcanos, jungles and watching beautiful sunsets next to astonishing beaches. As Ecuador is a lot to take in, I prepared some of the “really”essentials for your next adventure.  MUST HAVE Talking about currency: If you come from the USA, you don’t have to worry, as this country has been ruled by dollars since the 2000s. You will find better prices on food and accommodation compared to the states. If you’re from abroad, it’s useful to bring dollars as they’re commonly accepted in small shops and restaurants here. Tip: In restaurants, we tip for the service, but is not as high as in the states. It’s common to leave USD1 to USD5 tips (depending on the restaurant), but check the bill for service charges. Phones & Technology: We use 120v and the plug usually is type A/B. Plug type A features two flat parallel pins, while plug type B includes two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin. You will be able to find one on the airport or probably something more affordable somewhere around the city, better if it is a shop – don’t get fooled by the street vendors, as the accessories quality they sell is not always the best and it can damage your devices-. Better to pay a bit more, but they’ll last a lot longer. Data and networks: Plenty of options on the market for this, some with affordable prices and others with better coverage… what is best? For stays of a few days or weeks, you need a company that provides both reliability and flexibility. At Ecuador Bike Rental, we always purchase SIM cards and suggest Claro for its widespread coverage and reasonable prices. Sim Cards usually cost around USD5 and you can get a phone plan for USD10 up to USD30 (depending on how active you’re on social media) this will last the whole month.  Personal Accessories: Are you a light traveler or do you pack the entire house on each trip? Let’s stick to the essentials; focus on what you’ll bring to Ecuador for a great adventure. This country is unique, that’s not in doubt, but what really attracts travelers is its awesome weather. Ecuador, situated on the equator, avoids extreme temperatures. Highlands can be chilly, but never as low as -20°C or as high as 40°C. An all purpose jacket would be nice, nothing too thin but not a heavy coat either. Rain boots, a good SPF+50 sunscreen as in this country the sun hits differently ( it really does), insect repellent and if you’re under medication, bring your medicine, as in Ecuador it is really difficult to find a pharmacy that sells medication without an Ecuadorian doctor prescription. Documents: This can sound silly, but bring all the documents you may require. Ecuador bike rental do require driver license with a motorcycle endorsement to complete the reservation, but do not forget to bring, your passport and a copy of it, travel insurance, and COVID19 travel documents if applicable  Contact Us: sales@ecuadorbikerental.com | WhatsApp: +593939812831 | Addres: Quito, Ecuador. South America motorcycle trip on a budget

What if i tell you that traveling to three different worlds in 11 days is not impossible, and that there is no need of selling a kidney on the “darknet”. If you already started budgeting your next trip to this amazing country, I can give you a hand on it. We will be talking about tickets, food, attractions and some other expenses you can find during your stay in Ecuador.  The cost of a ticket from the USA/Canada/UK to Ecuador can vary depending on several factors, such as the time of year, the airline, the departure city, and the booking time. Generally, prices tend to be higher during peak travel seasons, such as major holidays and summer vacation periods. USA To give you an idea of the range of prices you might expect, I’ll provide some approximate estimates based on a search of a few popular travel booking websites. Keep in mind that these prices are subject to change and may not reflect the actual cost at the time of booking. During the low season (typically April to June and September to November), you might find tickets from major US cities like New York or Miami to Quito or Guayaquil for around $400-$600 round trip. During the high season (typically December to March and June to August), prices can increase significantly, with tickets ranging from $600 to $1000 or more for the same routes and cities. Of course, these are just rough estimates, and the actual cost of your ticket will depend on several factors specific to your trip, including your departure and arrival cities, travel dates, airline, and booking time. I recommend checking with multiple airlines and travel booking websites to compare prices and find the best deal for your specific travel needs. CANADA Low Season (April to June and September to November): New York to Quito or Guayaquil: $515 – $770 CAD round trip Miami to Quito or Guayaquil: $440 – $655 CAD round trip Los Angeles to Quito or Guayaquil: $740 – $1,100 CAD round trip High Season (December to March and June to August): New York to Quito or Guayaquil: $805 – $1,200 CAD round trip Miami to Quito or Guayaquil: $710 – $1,060 CAD round trip Los Angeles to Quito or Guayaquil: $1,060 – $1,580 CAD round trip UNITED KINGDOM Low Season (April to June and September to November): London to Quito or Guayaquil: £480 – £720 round trip Manchester to Quito or Guayaquil: £540 – £810 round trip High Season (December to March and June to August): London to Quito or Guayaquil: £680 – £1020 round trip Manchester to Quito or Guayaquil: £700 – £1050 round trip Most of the self-guided tours Ecuador bike rental offers, include all breakfasts. in the other hand Guided tours includes breakfasts and Dinner. So if you’re cheering for the first option and you are wondering how much more you have to budget for the other meals here is a clue:  Ecuador is rich in all aspects, but one of our favorites is gastronomy. Have you ever heard about Peruvian ceviche? well we do have our own version of it, and to be honest? It’s A lot better. About prices:  USA: USD 10-20 per meal ( it will depend on the restaurant as you will also find some that the prices will go up to USD 70-90  Canadá: CAD 27-40  UK: GBP 16-24  Our typical food Locro de papa Is a delicious potato stew that may contain cheese and rinds, and which is served along with avocado and toasted corn. With its creamy texture and incomparable flavor, this soup is a true delicacy worth sampling when in Ecuador. Mote pillo Is a traditional dish in Ecuadorian cuisine and it is made with mote (cooked mature corn) and egg. Ceviche de camaron: Shrimp ceviche or cebiche is one of the most traditional dishes in Ecuador, especially on the coast of the country. Shrimp ceviche reigns in Ecuador for its top-quality shrimp, while conch, fish, and other seafood ceviches hold their own renown. One of the particularities is that the shrimp is cooked, and not only marinated in lemon. Don’t hesitate to try this delicious and light dish, which goes very well with a delicious chile and a nice cold national beer, as well as a garnish of chifles (thin strips of fried green plantains), patacones (flattened slices of fried green plantains), canguil (popcorn) or tostado (toasted corn).  Bolones de verde You can’t miss the experience of eating a delicious bolón de verde whether it is filled with cheese, chicharron (deep fried pork), or both. The bolón de verde is prepared with green plantains which are cooked and smashed until they form a dough, which can be filled with cheese, fried pork, among other things. After that, this dough is chilled, baked or fried. Bolones are typically enjoyed for breakfast, but their deliciousness makes them suitable for dinner or as side dishes. The bolones tend to be accompanied with dried meat, fried or scrambled egg, and of course, a cup of coffee.  Beyond food, if you’re traveling far, consider trying extreme sports or other activities not included in the tour. Well, I can list you some that can be a great idea on each city  This is a draft of a customized route we made for a client, 18 days full of adventure in Ecuador 🙂  If you need help booking hotels or checking flight prices, we’re here to assist—just give us a heads-up! Guided tours with slow-motion leaders:

Guided tours with slow-motion leaders: Ecuador is full of great adventures, exciting roads and marvelous off road paths you would love. Some choose to come to our country with the idea of making the most of this experience, having in mind this country has three worlds in such a tiny space if you compare it to the others in the region where it is located. For this reason tourists look for guided tours, that helps them to visit the most they can and sure… helps them with the language limitations. Paying extra for a guided tour it’s not that crazy when you have that much to visit but not so much time to do it. You begin your search, chatting with agencies, until you settle on the one that seems the best option. You can be sure about the general details of the tour, such as accommodation,  activities and so on.. but what about the guide? What if they end up with a sluggish guide, the type you want to overtake constantly during the tour? Even worse, what if this guy is boring and with no idea of what he is talking about.  Experiencing all what is supposed to be pure adrenaline but in “slow motion “… so much fun right? NOT at ALL Team That’s why having someone fully bilingual and preferably native, but also suited to this adventure type, is crucial. Most riders don’t want to stare at someone else’s tail light for days, waiting for them to speed up. Agencies prioritizing customer experiences ensure guides are adaptable to any situation, particularly in the Adventure tourism market. The final product end is not what the customer is gonna visit. Not just the hotels or places matters, as it can be the best city you will ever be, or the most extreme path but with a dull leader, it can make you lose your money and your patience.  In today’s chronicles we will be talking about… good guides 😉  What makes a guide a GOOD one?  Our customers have spoken, they love our guide Pancho.  We got the best one, we love you Panchito 😉  Contact Us: sales@ecuadorbikerental.com | WhatsApp: +593939812831 | Addres: Quito, Ecuador. Guided tours with slow-motion leaders:

Level of experience tours Ecuador

Don’t need to be an expert, to be a great… adventurer? If you are just beginning in this twisty path of motorcycling, no worries, we got you! Traveling abroad, with the only goal of having fun riding a motorcycle around a new country, is always a good idea. You will not just be visiting new places but doing it on two wheels, give it a new POV, this sense of extreme happiness,  excitement and adrenaline that just riding could give you.  As in any other activity/sport, when you are just beginning, all the fears can invade your mind. Do you dare to do some off-road? or maybe you want to start with something easier as it is something you probably feel comfortable with (asphalt). No worries, as Ecuador is so diverse, even riding just asphalt – Ecuador has great highways tho, just to point that out- you will have the opportunity to see and visit volcanoes, lagoons, small communities, going to the amazonia Etc. It will not be difficult for you to ride from one place to another. A great option for a beginner in this country could be the one I will describe above, mostly asphalt, but some off-roading too. You can relate on Ecuador Bike rental to make this experience a bit easier and much more fun… Day 1:  Do not forget to start early, as you will be riding to Nono passing through the eco-route called “Paseo del Kinde” ( Path of the Hummingbird), here you will be able to enjoy the first bird-watching site declared in Latam. Over 400 different species, doesn’t it sound amazing? Ecuador is so biodiverse and beautiful for this and many other reasons… keep riding, take the main road again to Mindo, where you will be staying for the night.  While in this city, you can enjoy the chocolate tour. We highly recommend taking it, as Ecuador cocoa beans are known worldwide, and Mindo is one of the main producers of fine chocolate.  Day 2:  ¡Wakey wakey! Here in Ecuador we say “barriga llena, corazón contento” translated to -full tummy, happy heart- so, take your breakfast at the hotel first thing in the morning as there’s a day full of adventures ahead. Take your bike to Nanegalito, It’s a 45 min ride. A challenge awaits you… 4 hours on a dirt road that will take you to the Andean region. First province will be Imbabura, with its astonishing lakes, lagoons, mountains and an inactive stratovolcano. Make a stop on Cuicocha Lagoon to admire this view and have lunch inside the national park. Day 3:  Ecuador is not just biodiverse, but multicultural as well. Not everyone has the opportunity to stay in these small communities, where you can learn about their traditions and culture. Believe me, it’s delightful to hear all the stories, legends and be part ( at least for a day) of this community. You will be staying in Caranqui community, a small set of houses located on the slopes of the Imbabura Volcano. This intercultural experience will give you the best sense of a home-likely staying, the kindness and warmness of these people is undescribable. Prepare yourself to accompany the residents to their daily activities, some gastronomy classes, milking, herding and much more…  Day 4 and last:  Parque Condor will be awaiting for you, in this bird rescue center you will learn about the different species of birds that Ecuador and South America have. On the way back to Quito you will be visiting the museum of the middle of the world. Your phone or camera will suffice for capturing memorable moments at the middle of the world line and other activities. You can find more info about this tour on our web Ecuador Bike rental. Couples who ride together, stay together:

Drag your belongings to the back of your bike, and start a new adventure! But save some extra space for your partner’s stuff, maybe ¾ of your bags will be filled with clothes (and some other useless things). What can be more exciting than touring with your best friend? and no I’m not just talking about the bike… but your partner. That one person who’s been with you in all the craziest Adventures… marriage is one of them ( probably the craziest and riskier one). But taking the decision to pack all your life in 2 bags, and put them on the back of your bike… it’s kinda a big step, but completely worth it. If you both haven’t had the opportunity to strengthen your ties, believe me, this tour will do this work.  If the ride is long, the first weeks will be a honeymoon likely, you’ll turn again into the lovebirds you were before marriage. You will have the opportunity to reassure, all the reasons you had at first to choose that person to be your lifelong companion. The perfect moment, to get that connection back if you ask me. However, nothing in life can be this perfect, with all ups and downs and as the days goes by, it can have a little turn. Be prepared for some challenges, the beauty, the beast and the passive-aggressive version of your beloved soulmate can arise.  The experience The other day a couple from Canada arrived at Ecuador Bike rental office, they have been riding in Latam for several years now. They rented a DR650cc to go around Ecuador for 3 weeks. I had the chance to talk with them at the drop off of the motorcycle, and what amazed me the most was the chemistry they showed. How they talked about all the memories they made and the adventures and challenges they had to go through on those days. The craziest thing was how excited they were about the next adventure…  Even so, I’m still thinking about all the stuff they didn’t tell me -for obvious reasons-, the bad moments, maybe the arguments or misunderstandings that always happens when you spend so much time with someone.  Spending 24/7 with someone even if it is for a couple of weeks, can be tough for both. It’ll be a good idea to set roles during the trip, clearly one will be the rider, and the pillion could be the one who’s checking the maps, the traffic, best routes or shortcuts, in charge of picking good music and so on.. in a nutshell, try to avoid boredom. Remember, this person is more than just a pillion or partner—they’re your photographer, counselor, best friend, and much more. All this left me thinking about this saying: “Couples who ride together, stay together”. Reasons why 1- Better communication: As you’re away from stressful situations you might have at home, not thinking about work or other preoccupations, the only thing that is left is to enjoy the ride and the companion. Communication will be much easier as bluetooth intercoms allow you to talk along the ride,do not forget to ask for them at our office, here at Ecuador Bike rental we offer a set of Cardos that can be useful during the tour,  you can share all your old memories or just listen to music together.  2- Common goals: With a shared passion for motorcycles, your priorities align, reducing the likelihood of arguments between you. Surely you will be saving for the next bike together, new gear equipment or the next adventure.  3- Shared memories: Growing old with the one you love, doing all the things you enjoy is what we all wish for. Sharing these adventures together provides more topics to discuss, anecdotes to laugh about, and dreams for future adventures. 4- Connection: A great time to get to know your partner better than ever. Your partner’s preferences may have changed since you first met, including food and hobbies. Dig into these conversations to strengthen your bond. 5- Economic benefits: Sharing hobbies and vacation plans helps split expenses, saving money by sharing motorcycles and rooms, benefiting your bank account. This can double if you’re both riding. Look for agencies offering special discounts or assisting with saving money on your chosen tours—details Ecuador Bike Rental considers. We encourage couples to take new adventures, with special discounts and recommendations.  YouTube Video: Contact Us: sales@ecuadorbikerental.com | WhatsApp: +593939812831 | Address: Quito, Ecuador. Couples who ride together stay together

Off-road: double the risk, triple the happiness

Riding off-road requires a great deal of skill, experience, and knowledge of the terrain. Riders must be able to navigate through challenging terrain, including rocky and uneven surfaces, and anticipate obstacles such as fallen trees, deep mud, or water crossings… sounds really good right? challenging could be the word that describes it best. However, the risk of accidents and injuries is higher than regular riding, as the terrain is unpredictable and there is often no protection from other vehicles or barriers. Off-road experience Despite the risks, off-road is a popular activity that attracts many enthusiasts. It offers a sense of adventure and independence that cannot be experienced on regular roads. Off-road riders often cite the thrill of conquering challenging obstacles and the sense of accomplishment that comes with it. Additionally, off-road riding provides a unique opportunity to connect with nature, explore remote areas, and experience the outdoors in a way that is impossible on regular roads… is also a good way of relieving stress. This is not for all, as you have to accept the fact that you and your bike will be eating dirt at some point, you have to fall down countless times and have enough strength to get up and move forward on your ride. Be prepared to watch your bike all covered in mud or dirt, and be a little injured and sore at some point of the journey. Worth it? Sure, by all means, you will feel all of them as war wounds. Most bikers who come to Ecuador for a Motorcycle tour, have in their plans to do some off-road. As this country is perfect for this purpose with its mountains, valleys, dirt tracks etc. None of this matters, if you don’t have the right bike to support you all the way. So today… we are not gonna talk about the rider, we will be talking about our -Tin Pal-. So, how to choose between a wide variety of brands, models and sizes. For us, KTM and Suzuki are the main characters of this story. KTM If you’re an off-road enthusiast and you’re looking for the best motorcycle to meet your needs, and expectations, you may have considered KTM. Additionally, with over 60 years of experience in manufacturing motorcycles, KTM is a well-known and respected brand in this market. Reasons? Plenty They were designed specifically for this type of adventure, KTM engineers have dedicated years of research and development to create a motorcycle that can withstand the rigors of off-road riding. From the ground clearance to the suspension system, every aspect of these bikes is optimized for a rough usage. Not to mention their lightweight and agility, making them perfect for navigating through beaten trails and steep inclines. So, when it comes to control, their lightweight helps the ride in difficult terrain, allowing quick reactions and balance maintenance. KTM are equipped with powerful engines that deliver sufficient torque and horsepower to tackle even the toughest roads. The upgraded suspension systems offer excellent performance, with adjustability allowing riders to fine-tune the ride to their specific needs. This brand prioritizes quality components, designing bikes to withstand the demands of adventure riders in any situation. Dual sport bike Another good choice is the Suzuki Dr650, a good looking dual sport bike. What else can I say about the design of this beauty? It looks simple, utilitarian and rugged, giving us nostalgic memories of the 80s designs. Many of us agree: it’s a versatile and dependable bike, a favorite among adventure riders for decades. It’s remarkable how effortlessly this bike handles all types of roads, from dirt and gravel to rocky terrain and highways. Dr650 is also known for its lightweight structure compared to other ADVenture bikes, making it really easy for riders to handle and maneuver in tight spots. Powered with a durable engine that can handle long-distance rides and challenging terrain, is a 644cc, air-cooled, four-stroke single cylinder engine producing 43hp and 47 ft lbs of torque, most of it accessible in the lower rev range, not so impressive numbers, but keep in mind the DR only weighs 366lbs. As with most single cylinders, you will expect some vibration on highways. Its excellent ground clearance allows the bike to traverse rocks, logs, and obstacles effortlessly without getting stuck or damaged. In conclusion, whether KTM or Suzuki, both meet the highest standards for even the pickiest off-road adventurers! Your always liable friend Ecuador bike Rental. Looking for the right adventure? on road- off road

Looking for the right adventure?

When visiting foreign countries, the main concern for many is how to maximize their experience. Making the most of every moment, but while in an unfamiliar country,  feels like launching into the unknown. When in doubt, trust our dear friend Google. It often holds the answers you seek, just a search away! I, like many others, look for a more human-ish response for all my inquiries.  Start your journey by considering your experience, riding skills, connection with your bike, preferred trails or streets, distances, and accommodation. Once you have general details sorted, seek a trustworthy, communicative motorcycle tourism agency, especially in South America. When talking about experience the first thing that comes to mind is years, but we also have to start thinking about experience as where you have been riding, cities with long and modern pavement streets, highways that cross countries… or more adventurous rides on gravel trails, mountains or even small cities located in remote countries. The difference between trails and streets isn’t just about landscapes; it’s about how you handle various situations. Streets On streets, you will be facing challenges such as high speed vehicles, tired or distracted drivers and last but not least… missing a turn or the right exit because, yep you were with your head on the clouds while Siri or Google maps were guiding you. On the other hand, Off-road turns the risk factor up a notch, but that is what makes this so exciting, your heart pumping, the adrenaline rushing your veins, senses are firing on all cylinders… while smiling ear to ear, just an “insignificant” bump could turn into a big issue. In both cases, a strong connection with your bike is essential. Knowing your motorcycle breeds confidence whether on loose earth or smooth streets. 100% asphalt or all off-road tour? As I just said, pavement gives you confidence, the facility and comfortness of being in a familiar environment. Fortunately, most South American countries boast stunning views along their highways and main streets, offering a delightful journey. A prime example is Ecuador. Riding along the E35, you’ll witness colossal volcanoes, majestic mountains, and enchanting valleys. Something interesting about this E35, is that it starts in Patagonia (Argentina) crosses Bolivia, then to Peru, Ecuador, through Colombia all the way up to Panama; E35 is commonly known as Panamericana, this giant Hwy ends in Alaska. Choosing 100% asphalt offers diverse lodging options, spanning luxury resorts to cozy B&Bs and hostels, enriching your travel experience. Off-roading is completely different, expect more hours of riding to get to your hotels, but will be worth it! Ecuador offers unique remote accommodations amidst nature, promising unforgettable experiences for every guest, showcasing the country’s beauty. Places While off-roading you will be in places you will ever imagine, expect the unexpected ( in a positive way of course haha) don’t get fooled by the small food places you find on the road, they don’t need huge pompous structures to offer you the most amazing traditional dishes served by the nicest people originate from these far-off towns. You’ll encounter various traffic scenarios, from cattle herds on trails to families with donkeys and horses carrying farm produce. What a show i would say… something not to be missed.  Miles ahead, your butt is freezed and you have trouble feeling your hands. Distances matter at this point right? Long journeys aren’t for everyone. Consider your tolerance for road time before embarking on an adventureWhether it’s 3, 5, or 8+ hours, it’s your call. Remember, it’s not a race; prioritize enjoying the adventure. The longer the distance, the greater the fatigue at the end of the day. Where to rest? As it came up, tiredness after a long ride is common (no matter if you feel like a superhuman while riding, you still need some rest at the end of the day) , so having a good and comfy place to stay is a gift from heaven, choose wisely, better if you can rely on an agency that can offer attractive fares. Prices will be linked to how fancy the place is, but also the location is gonna be a factor to how pricey the hotel comes…the more remote the place is, the higher the price. Don’t dig into your savings: A Motorcycle touring in South America is the answer!

When people start talking about new adventures, and magical places a sense of uncertainty invades your body. Choosing to travel abroad can be daunting, especially when seeking affordable motorcycle tourism destinations without breaking the bank. Adventure bikers are now more interested in visiting this part of the world, South America gives you the best of both worlds, you can get the “go on a budget” experience or you can go all luxury.  Latin America extends beyond Mexico, comprising diverse countries, cultures, and landscapes across the southern part of the Americas continent. Music, culture, traditions, extremely delicious gastronomy, warm people, and don’t let me start talking about our breathtaking landscapes. Geography in this part of the world is a gift for some that are looking for twisty roads, adrenaline at its finest, challenging paths, and great adventures along with their two wheeled best partner.  Let’s delve into why this region of the Americas is so appealing to tourists, uncovering its unique allure and attractions. I started saying that South America gives you the best of both, small and unlimited budgets. It can adapt to any of your needs. I’m gonna focus on three countries to not make it too long, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.  Colombia Colombia, famed for its coffee axis, vibrant Salsa music, and warm, outgoing people, ensures the best experiences for visitors. Colombian people are deeply patriotic, taking immense pride in their culture, traditions, and their beloved country. Moreover, Colombia has demonstrated that they can offer tourists amazing experiences regardless of the political situation, and no it’s not like the press shows, you will not be living a live action Pablo Escobar novela. For those who are visiting this country the exchange rate will surprise you, affordable prices everywhere on everything, from hotel nights on the best places to inexpensive meals on luxury restaurants. Furthermore, Colombia’s booming biker culture, with nine million motorcyclists, makes it a haven for adventure riders worldwide, ensuring unforgettable experiences. No time to be shy, when they see you on your two wheeled buddy, they will approach you quickly to ask about the machine, your plans during your stay and much much more, don’t be surprised if one invites you to ride with their biker mates. Ecuador Situated strategically in the heart of the globe, Ecuador offers a small yet remarkable slice of South America’s vast skies. Home to diverse fauna and flora, active volcanoes, handcrafted souvenirs, delectable cuisine, historical cities, enchanting valleys, and hidden beaches. A three world paradise, best description: all in one. This is the place you want to go, if you are thirsty for adrenaline, if your lust for finding magical places goes beyond your home country, Ecuador is where you want to ride. beginning with the fact that the country possesses one of the best climates of the region, with never extreme temperatures. Humid-subtropical weather on the coast, take your sunnies out, and enjoy your ride with the sun following your way. The inter-Andean valleys (highlands) have a temperate climate, but don’t get surprised if you find yourself buying an extra alpaca wool sweater to warm you up during your stay. So, in the Amazon region, expect year-round rainfall, nurturing lush greenery and vibrant life throughout all seasons. Adventurers from all over the globe visit Ecuador to encounter new exploits, pushing themselves out of their comfort zones, not meaning they have to leave aside comfort or safety from choosing the best ADV bikes to staying in the best hotels on each part of the trip. Touring in this country means off-road everywhere, highways with dope views, small narrow gravel streets in the middle of small communities that will challenge your riding skills and strengthen your relationship with the bike. Prices in this country range from USD 2.50 for a complete lunch to USD 100 for a single course meal. Ecuador has dollars as its official currency, always a plus as it’s the most common currency around the world.  Peru Perú has one of the most visited deserts in the area, a perfect place full of ancient archeology, colored textiles and multicultural communities. In addition, the country has been known as a bikers friendly destination, specially because of their kind people, its gastronomy that now is well known all over the world and much more for their challenging but rewarding high passes. The extensive desert merges seamlessly with beaches in this country, blurring the distinction between them. The width varies from 10 up to 100 miles, an eye catching paradise you don’t want to miss. Explore hidden gems like Paron Lagoon, its emerald waters framed by majestic snow-capped peaks, offering breathtaking vistas beyond altitude. Add El Pato Canyon to your bucket list; a road amid colossal stone walls leading to endless tunnels. Definitely, an unforgettable experience. On your ride, discover ruins like “Huaca del Sol y la Luna,” a stunning adobe brick pyramid from the Moche civilization.  Peru offers diverse attractions and activities at affordable prices, welcoming tourists of all kinds to experience its Inca ancestral paradise. Gear up, pack your essentials, don your helmet, stash your sunglasses, and prepare for the thrilling adventure awaiting you! Leave these tedious tasks to locals that will help you find the best routes and activities to maximize your experience.  Ecuador bike rental with you on this journey!
