The world’s most trusted travel review website TripAdvisor has awarded Ecuador Bike Rental by Sleipner their first Certificate Of Excellence. Their customers reflect their satisfaction through reviews of their services. “After two years of successful operations, and over 500 happy clients. To be able to accomplish this remarkable feat in a bit less than two years, the company had to comply with TripAdvisor high level of satisfaction. This is quantified by the number of reviews the company has received in a time frame, added to the overall rating of the reviewers. Businesses earn this achievement over time by consistently delivering excellent service. They approximately represent the 10% of total companies listed on TripAdvisor. This is one of the most reliable sources as its impossible to pay for these awards, unlike other certificate programs. This accolade is not the first one that the company receives. Distintivo Q A year ago, Quito Turismo in Ecuador awarded the company the “Distintivo Q”. High standard Tourism Operators all around Ecuador receive this one. This also encompasses Hotels, restaurants, and venues that achieve the highest service quality and are considered focal trusted tourism points. Getting this award is extremely hard, especially in La Mariscal area in Quito, which is considered the main touristic point in Ecuador’s capital. The company needed to raise its standard in many fronts within such a short period. We put all the effort on system reliability, process management, supply chain, social responsibility, and of course, service quality. We have been honored with the award for the second year in a row, along with receiving the certificate of excellence from TripAdvisor. Is a major recognition for keeping our customers happy,” adds Bryan Villamil the general manager.   | Visit Us | Ecuador Bike Rental

Our Top 10 adventure motorcycles

So many top 10 adventure motorcycles out there and here is one more, the best. In Ecuador Bike Rental we got the best equipment! Worth to mention that, we had the feedback of our customers that have a fair background on motorcycle riding. Some of them possess more than one motorbike in their garage. Then came down to Ecuador to try a specific model for a bit more than a normal test drive. Let’s say three weeks on all sorts of roads. For some other models, we’ve tried them in Ecuador to find out what could be our best next purchase. Once again, the list is based on an overall score and criteria used on the field from us. 10. Moto Gucci V85TT I had the pleasure to test drive one of these bad boys in Europe and gotta tell you with those looks. Its distinctive V-twin engine, and ergonomics, is coming as a serious contender for its midsize classmates the BMW F850 and the Triumph Tiger. Gucci aimed pretty well with this model. This motorcycle has 80 HPs and 80 Nm as output. Way more than enough for what any common mortal would use while taking this motorbike where is meant to be: off-road. It was a normal test drive (about an hour) but fell in love with its characteristics and smoothness all around. To me on this model, maybe to have a 21″rim in front instead of a 19″. Would have made it a bit more dynamic on demanding off-roads, but the actual tire size made it enjoyable on asphalt. 9. HONDA XRE300 We have a bunch of these motorcycles in our fleet for one good reason, our customers are happy with it. They are lightweight, their fuel injection system is incredibly reliable at long timeframes. Also, under hardcore conditions and is such an enjoyable toy to play with. All of our customers that have used it. They always come back to the shop with a smile on their faces. 21 CVs are delivered by its 300cc engine, which makes it the opposite from intimidating, and fun on any skill level hands. Also, by being Honda, we have the support of one of the biggest motorcycle houses in Ecuador. So far, regardless of whatever mess we got ourselves into while opening routes. It has been as easy as fetching the motorbike with our GPS tracking device mounted on them. Take it to any dealer in the country, and it’s ready the day after. 8. KTM Super Adventure 1290R Simply awesome. I rode on a long trip this motorcycle last year when I borrowed from a friend of mine. It’s a KTM, and for its size, you won’t believe it how well it handles. Its got all types of perks, including a water-resistant “glove compartment” for your mobile with a charger inside. Torky and powerful to say the least and mixed with a pretty smart suspension. It goes on cobblestone roads as if it was first class pavement. Not a motorcycle for rookies for sure but its dashboard and controls were so intuitive, that made it feel as if it were. 7. Suzuki Vstrom 650 XT We’ve mentioned this motorcycle on previous blogs and I keep on bringing the subject. This is because is just well thought how they took an already excellent two-wheeled vehicle and just made it better. Two riding modes, spike rims, and less weight made the perfect combination to go deeper in the jungle. Higher in the mountains than its alloy-based wheels predecessors. Some of our clients just love the way it handles in a peaceful ride along the Spondylus route in the Ecuadorian Pacific Coast. For me, when it came to pushing it a bit more than usual it has proved to be really safe. It’s ABS reacts so precise to your situation, like when you are using brand new Continental TK70 on asphalt and you void to consider that fact and go a bit too loco. 6. Yamaha Tenere 660 This machine has its history and war medals, and now in 2019, we had the arrival of the new Tenere 700 with more stories to tell on its belt for sure. This is the first Yamaha that I get on and try it to be honest and boy it called my attention. A pretty easy to use, the machine well balanced and it feel way much lighter than what it looks. After a few hours of dirt roads, you can tell the significant difference that makes a 21-inch front wheel. 5. Triumph Tiger XCx The first time we saw this machine was at the annual convention of Horizons Unlimited where the dealer had a model for test-driving. Since we were organizing an off-road for the participants around the Cotopaxi volcano, we had in our tour BMW 1200GS, BMW F800, and the triumph tiger and so it was easy from the rear to see with similar driver skills what the motorcycle can do. For starters, as the rider related later, its traction control makes so hard to do any wrong on the dirt, even when you want to for the sakes of fun. And of course, for a mid-size bike to output 95 CV from a three-cylinder engine is something you are tempted to test how many of those you can actually use it. When I got to ride it, it came to my surprise how stable the motorcycle is, and note that it doesn’t have the lowest center of gravity of all. 4. Multistrada Enduro 1260 Years back I had the chance to race at the Pamplona San Fermin’s party with dozens of bulls on my back. And for the first time, I felt how it feels to ride one of them. It’s simply a beast with the most impressive Italian design and tech touches. From the heavyweights, I would consider this one something out of this planet. To start with, it doesn’t matter how bad the road gets, you still have

10 best touring motorcycles

10 best touring motorcycles for your holidays

Then you found yourself with a desire for an adventure, you have your motorcycle in the garage but for some reason, you think it wasn’t built for the job. When we first started to form Ecuador Bike Rental’s fleet, we wanted to do our best to accommodate the different needs of potential clients. That included the test drive, comprehensive research. We did a lots and lots of reading to see what could benefit riders that are passing by in Ecuador and would like to rent a specific motorcycle for touring around. So here are 10 best touring motorcycles for your holidays: Motorcycles Needless to say that every person is different, not only in sizes and shapes, strength, gender, and peculiar habits but also their touring circumstances are different. For some its a Han-Solo job, for others the means to share the adventure with their significant others and be more involved as a couple. You can have different ideas on luggage and riding gear, etc. The point is, that based on our research and what usually works for people. We’ve decided to divide this list into 3 categories: small motorcycles, mid-size and the big ones. Also, bear in mind that there are different definitions for this kind of motorcycles, such as dual, adventure, and touring. In a nutshell, a dual motorcycle is as Wikipedia states: “A dual-sport motorcycle is a type of street-legal motorcycle that is designed for both on and off-road use.” And yes, it’s basically that. You are riding along with the asphalt and suddenly is in your best’s adventure interests to jump onto the side dirt road 5 meters ahead aware that its suspension, tires, and frame are able to cope with the sudden change. An adventure motorcycle, as defined by many, is a kind of an added marketing name for a wide range of bikes. That goes from upright touring asphalt-purposed to dual / Enduro categories. From alloy to wire/spoke rims, tall seat foot controls in middle positions and wide handlebars. And on the other hand, we have touring motorcycles, which are bikes designed to hit the open road, mainly on asphalt. Big engines power these motorcycles, as they are intended to cover large distances with luggage and often carry two riders. Small size motorcycles These bikes used very often on off-roads, usually with no passenger and only the essentials to be carried. Its lightweight comes from engines that top around the 400cc, fewer accessories, and light but resistant body structure. There are many stories about people riding around the world with these bikes and also many rental companies on the planet use them as part of their fleet. Here we mention a few good models that have been battled tested by us and our clients. They are cheap to rent and cheap to fix. Royal Enfield Himalaya We thought of this motorcycle because hey, they use it in hardcore tours in the Himalayas. It has a 400cc engine based on a carburetor that is extremely easy to fix. Its position is comfortable. You can fit or adapt a lot of parts from other bikes in case of an emergency until you arrive at your destination. Its power around the Andes, needless to say, has proven to be more than enough. The factory equips it with some safety features such as skid plates and hand guards. Additionally, it includes a windshield high enough to cover up to the chin guard in your helmet. This bike simply has well-designed ergonomics. Placed with the right saddlebag mounts, you can carry two 35 lt soft luggage on each side, plus a 40 lt duffel on top. Is so easy to ride it, that I taught my girlfriend to ride on this one. Its the perfect tool for beginners and experienced adventurers alike. HONDA XRE300 A semi Enduro motorcycle ready to be taken off-road. This one came to replace in the market the hard-to-kill Honda Tornado. It have better features like fuel injection system, an electronic dashboard, and a pretty friendly fresh look. Its 27 HP and 28 Nm in torque have been enough to see customers taking off for more than 20 days fully loaded and come back more than happy. Once set with proper damage mitigators like skid plates and handguards. This bike has all it needs to throw the worse at it worry-free. No need to mention how maneuverable this motorcycle can be while touring around the city Yamaha XT250 With a strong off-road focus, the XT250 has been proven also worth its reputation. Despite its road-oriented bias, is the perfect companion for light trails during the weekend and urban traffic. It has what you need to enjoy your time on the bike and is pretty easy to work upon problems it might present. Mid-Size Motorcycles In this category fall most of the dual-sport models. Not a firm rule, but their engine ranges go from anywhere high 400cc to close to 800cc. Depending on the make and model, these bikes are the perfect companion for any adventure. As they are the most common in any region for spare parts, they are easy to repair. Any motorcycle touring magazine will give you more than one recommendation to look into these for a long-term adventure. The ones that make the grade for sure are: Suzuki DR650 It has what you need, period. Simple to fix, to maintain, to be loved. This motorcycle is the one we use to open routes with, to throw ourselves into the unknown. To know for sure we’ll come out flawless after going into rocky paths, or deep mud. The factory delivers around 44 HP from its engine, but you can easily tweak it to your liking. We’ve been lucky to house few overlanders like Suzie and Kelvin. Their way to Ushuaia and they had some not recent models of these bikes. Still, they made it all the way from Colombia to La Patagonia on not so friendly paths. We have some of these in

Plan a successful motorcycle trip

Quick tips to plan a successful motorcycle trip

We’ve all heard the words: ‘having no plan, is the best plan’… Well, to some extent, the feeling of freedom of this eternal phrase might appeal to many. But then, as you step out the door, you have no decided destination, nor a defined route, or a time frame. Yes, of course, you have unlimited resources at your disposal. You have no timeframe to adhere to, and you have been accustomed to a frugal lifestyle for the last couple of years. If this is your case, then read no further. But if not, I would like to point out a few key aspects for a successful, stress-free motorcycle ride, considering just a couple of planning basics. So here are some quick tips to plan a successful motorcycle trip: Route.  One of the best quick tip to plan a successful motorcycle trip, must be the route. This can be divided into various factors to consider, like territory, weather, emergency response and riding seasons. Some of the most beautiful landscapes are hidden with only backroad access to them. Third-order roads can seriously reduce your daily riding length. They’re so worth it when you consider the things you’ll be able to see that not many outsiders can. That being said, it’s a common mistake. Especially in the Andes, to think that you should be able to cover just a couple of hundred kilometers before sunset. The rugged terrain and unpredictable conditions often make travel times longer than anticipated. Specialized blogs like https://www.pikipikioverland.com/ are open with vast information about the route you are planning to ride along with tips. You can find about what motorcycle worked out the best, type of tires, fuel stop agenda, etc. If you wish to cover lots of kilometers quickly, Ecuador’s Panamerican highway is ideal. It takes you from North to South in a relatively short timeframe. The roads to West and East are always in mint condition as one of the main country incomes is tourism, hence the paramount of road maintenance. Needless to say that some phone GPS apps are the perfect company especially in remote places where no roaming is accessible nor mobile data. So make sure that you have downloaded the maps needed for your next leg for this offline helpers whilst you have good WiFi connectivity. In short, plan ahead. Season Another factor to consider that is countries like Ecuador for instance, do not have a fixed season a year. Therefore, make sure you do the respective analysis before purchasing your flight ticket. Ecuador is a great place to ride as you have all three worlds (Amazonas, Pacific Coast, and the Andes) reachable in a small time frame. But by being on the Equator, its sudden changes in weather can happen at any time of the day. These are not drastic changes but is not strange to find yourself riding in light rain and then in a beautiful sunny clear sky just around the corner. Being in a different country intel different environment and supply chain. IIf you have decided to spend up to a month on the road, then you can minimize the considerations. However, if the plan is to go away for a very long time, proper research is needed. This research should focus on supplies for both you and your motorcycle. Sometimes, what we consider cheap universal spares are not as common globally. These items, which can be fitted in a scooter or a war tank, may not be readily available everywhere. In such situations, you find yourself needing to adapt in the best-case scenario. Worse, you may have to import that spare and spend days or weeks waiting for it. Resources.  Yes, in summary: money. Your lifestyle dictates a lot your adventure standard as well. Are you planning for cheap hotels along the way, is it ok with you to ride long hours. Park your motorcycle and make up your sleeping tent having no roof but clear skies filled with stars? Planning your budget will give you a better insight into the adventure quality you are about to have. If the idea is to simply ride without the need of work to fill up your pockets again, make sure to plan ahead financially. Ensure that the money you leave with will be enough to cover a possible contingency on the way. This foresight can prevent unexpected financial stress during your journey. Food is also a matter of importance. On short rides, I encourage you to try the local cuisine. On a motorcycle road trip, you have the obvious advantage of being able to pull over to the side of the road to try new flavors. In crowded cities, it’s also easy to find a parking spot. You might discover the restaurant you’ve read so much about. Then again, don’t risk your stomach health as this is one of the things that can make your ride very uncomfortable. We design our tours to ensure food stops offer authentic local flavors without risking your health. Are you riding by yourself? if not, is it one motorcycle or more? Consider splitting some expenses to prolong your joy. Motorcycle and accessories. A great truth is that the perfect motorcycle for your adventure is the one you have already. I rode once from Ecuador to Ushuaia in my Ducati Diavel as this was what I had then and I wasn’t planning to sell it to find “the ideal bike”. If you don’t have one yet, then you have the chance to rent different models for the time you need to test it. You can ride around the terrain you think you’ll be riding the most to see if it’s your fit. This will also save you the whole waiting time and paperwork to send your motorcycle from one point to another and to bring it back. Is not the same feeling to ride a small engine bike on the dirt than a big adventure model like the Honda Africa Twin. Other mid-size models could be a great option

Africa twin DCT, our new toy

Sometimes you end up with no words after some experiences in life. Speechless as one can be, our experience with the Honda Africa Twin and the new automatic transmission (DCT) was simply out of any other bike. It was unlike any other we’ve ridden before. So before we continue, please bear in mind that we are not experienced motorcycle testers. However, our own experience provides us with valuable insights. We have ridden from Ecuador to Ushuaia twice, toured all around Europe, and competed as riders for Ducati in local and South American championships with good outcomes. This experience gives us a bit of intel on what to look for in a motorcycle. So here was our experience: Highest bike model We got brainwashed. The Africa Twin stood in the highest positions in all the shootouts on YouTube. It also appeared in comparisons between high-end adventure motorcycles. We made up our minds to go and get one of those bad-ass toys to include them in the fleet. As we walked into the dealer, its representative, Bernardo, welcomed us warmly. He then pointed out the section where various models were on display. Two things came to my mind right away: First, those stock tires…. it was like seeing a Range Rover fitted with slicks, I thought. Little did I know that those Bridgestone were going to prove me wrong later on. And the second thing was that I couldn’t help to compare the basic model with the 30th-anniversary DCT model standing right behind it. There was no doubt that if we were going to get one of these, we were going to get the best of it. Bernardo also pointed out that the bike was the last one in the country out of the few that came. No questions asked we decided to get it on behalf of our future customers at Ecuador Bike Rental by Sleipner. To be fair, we couldn’t push the bike too hard due to tires and engine break-in, but it didn’t disappoint. An ok first ride with this monster was obviously under controlled conditions. So we decided to take it to the beach riding through twisties from the Andes towards the coast. It took 30 minutes to get used to the lack of a clutch lever. Then figure it out what was the logic on the gear shifting and engine break while going from the mountains to the Pacific Coast. Riding modes Its got 3 riding modes to change its power output. Thanks to its HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control), engine brake and parameters like traction control, that can be changed on the fly in 7 levels or turn it off. The user mode allows you to modify the engine output, the engine break logic, and the traction levels. Once we became familiar with these commands, and in drive mode, we noticed that the bike leans a lot toward fuel consumption. You can override this by using the shifters on the left-hand side. So used to up/down normal shifting, I thought this was going to be a fallback on fun, but far from it, it makes it more interesting. According to some magazines, this lady has close to 80 riding modes for all likes in all its combinations. I don’t think we tested all of them. Drive mode Then, we decided to test a variation of the ‘Drive mode’. If you press the button enough, 3 levels of Sport mode open to you. With this, its own mapping of RPM selection for upshifting and downshifting thanks to its dual clutch system, which gives you the output needed for fun in the twisties and to hold gears off-road. And if that is not enough for you, you can always hit the manual mode as we did, and just do it manually. Perfecto! One plus of the Africa twin DCT, it allowed us to feel more relaxed on traffic jams. I felt like if we could ride 11 straight hours with a normal bike, with this one we could go over 15 easily. Few facts about power and stats on this particular model. Its overall ready-to-ride weight of 240 kg balances pretty well on-road and off-road. Off course, we had to test it in sand and dirt roads as well. Its 998cc, outputs some sweet 94 CV and 99 Nm in torque, making it more than enough while riding this bike where it’s supposed to be ridden, off-road. Other information That, mixed with increased travel in its front and rear suspension, contributes to its capability. Additionally, it features a 21-inch front wheel. There are also two little buttons on the right-hand side: G and ABS rear off. Together, these elements convert this gentle machine into a dirt devour. The asphalt sport-convertible you were riding before would suddenly feel like a war tank. It would be ready to tackle whatever comes its way. The Gravel button allows you to have a dryer response from the clutch. Meanwhile, the rear ABS turn-off switch allows you to have its tail exactly where you want it on corner entry. So back to those tires, we had monsoon like those that happen every few years in Ecuador on our way back to the Andes. Those tires gripped as much as we needed. And since we were already wet, thanks to our pre-programmed route GPS, we decided to cross a river whose depth is slightly less than a meter. Even with the “doubtful” rubbers, the bike managed to cross it with no hesitation. Once again, our guides are not professional rally racers, but this bike proved to forgive any hard mistake I did. So after 1000 km of testing, is pretty fair to shout how awesome this machine is. We’re really happy to have it on our fleet and to provide our customers with the best as we always strived. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. | Visit Us | Africa twin DCT, our new toy

2 days adventure

2 days adventure in Ecuador by George

I went on vacation to Ecuador with my wife as it has so many beautiful things to offer, including the Galapagos Islands and was going I could squeeze in a day or 2 of motorcycle riding as I ride everyday back home in NYC. I inquired about renting a motorcycle for a 2 days adventure in Ecuador solo tour via the Ecuador Bike Rental website after I searched Google. 2 days adventure beginning Brian contacted me within 5 minutes with details on the bikes that were available and the corresponding prices. I decided to visit their shop to get a better understanding of what they had to offer for solo touring. Brian was very helpful with info regarding different one day tours that are popular and scenic. He told me that they would program my tours into a Garmin GPS unit. I really like the routes that Brian showed me and decided to go ahead with the 2 day rental. As it was a Saturday, Brian offered me a very special deal that I couldn’t refuse, and boy, am I glad I booked the 2-day adventure. I chose the BMW 700 GS. Quilotoa On the first day, I rode from Quito to the Cotopaxi section of Ecuador, which features a huge active volcano covered in snow! It was amazing to see up close. I continued my journey up a mountain road with amazing curves and views to the sleepy town of Sangolqui. On the way back I stopped at restaurant to eat and as I was about to leave, Francisco, a tour guide with Ecuador Bike Rentals, spotted my parked bike and came inside to see me. It was a pleasant surprise. He asked me if I rather take the backroads to Quito instead of the famous Pan Americano Highway. I happily agreed. Cotopaxi Cotopaxi Volcano The backroads were all stone paved and rugged. I had to stand on my BMW 700 GS half the time and it was so much fun! I had never been off road before and it made me smile the whole 3 hours back to Quito. Thank you so much Francisco, I’ll never forget this day. The next day I took a solo tour from Quito to Mindo using the GPS. More curves, more waterfalls and wildlife. Mindo I visited the Butterfly sanctuary in Mindo where you will experience the transformation of caterpillars into butterflies right before your very eyes. It was so magical. After that I took a ride down the backroads to a huge waterfall. In that spot where I ate my packed lunch and took in the serenity of nature while hummingbirds were flying all around me. There were so many different types of exotic birds I couldn’t leave town for the next 2 hour! On the way back I zipped through the curves of Los Bancos and made it back to Quito in time for dinner with my wife. Butterfliyes Mindo Overall this was one of the best adventures I have ever had on a motorcycle. I highly recommend Ecuador Bike Rentals. When I returned my motorcycle Monday morning, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Davo Garces, who was fascinated by my adventures. He took me to the garage and showed me his prized Ducati Panigale (the only one in Ecuador!). What an incredible machine! We talked for the next hour about motorcycles and future adventures to come when I return. I love Ecuador Bike Rentals and you will too! | Visit Us | 2 days adventure in Ecuador by George

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran with wisdom to share or a complete novice hungry for ideas and guidance. It doesn’t matter if you ride a motorcycle, a bicycle, or drive an expedition vehicle. Horizons Unlimited meetings are for everyone who dreams of adventure along the road less travelled, and Ecuador Bike Rental is one of its official sponsors. From July 20th to 22nd, Ecuador will be the gathering point for true adventurers around the world with a unique line-up of presenters. Some people value the chance to discover new products and services at the trade stands. Some people value just kicking back with a beer among old friends and new.” said local host and manager Raul Guarderas. The event HHorizons Unlimited was an initiative that started in 1987 by Grant and Susan Jonson. They decided to travel more than 50 countries on a motorcycle. Since then, it has been a great source of information for nomads, adventurers, and people alike who wanted to do the same: embark on a cageless adventure. The event has a pretty laid-back schedule. There will be experienced presenters from all over telling their stories and sharing useful material. They will present based on their experience and what basically works onsite. Talking about sponsors, known important brands in the country like: Triumph, Pro-Racing, GAD and Ecuador Bike Rental by Sleipner will be part of this event. This last sponsor, will be organizing with the participants a tour around the north of Ecuador. Starting in Sierra Alisos towards Guagua Pichincha, one of the few volcanoes in the world that its crater can be reached on a motorcycle. A unique route custom built specifically for the event. Special discounts Ecuador Bike Rental will also be offering discounts. This will be specially on its motorcycle rentals for the participants of the event in dates closer to the event. For more information, please visit: https://ecuadorbikerental.com/rental. “This is a great opportunity for locals and visitors to gather and enjoy a good time sharing the same passion that has united us all” added Sleipner’s spokesman, David Garces. Ecuador Bike Rental by Sleipner

You are about to enter the most diverse country in all of South America. Ecuador is ready to show you all of its beauty, and it won’t take you too long to experience all three worlds it has to offer. The Coast will make you taste the most delicious seafood in the continent. You’ll be around breathtaking beaches for all types of tourists. Ecuador Bike Rental is here to show this beautiful country! The Andes mountain range, covers 7,000 kilometers through South America, filled with active and non-active volcanoes fed by the ring of fire in the pacific. You will be looking around for a natural beauty all the time and spot the most beautiful volcanoes and mountains. Finally, the Amazon, one of the most diverse jungles with thousands of flora and fauna species. You’ll find everything from hummingbirds to lilies, to jaguars and giant 400-year-old trees. All three worlds are part of our small but rich country. You will enjoy whether you come with family or friends and take an unforgettable experience back home with you. Tours As you begin your adventure, you may ask yourself, which tour would be best for me? We are here to help you decide and give you reasons why a short or long tour may or may not be the best fit for you. Would you like a long tour that will take you all around Ecuador ? Or maybe a short tour to only visit specific places of your desire in the Coast, Andes or Amazon? Do you prefer to ride on asphalt road only or only off-road or a mix between both? Keep in mind that our roads are not on a straight line as you may be used to. Ecuador is known for its roads with sharp turns that challenge motorcyclists on a daily basis. The great thing about this decision, is that it is completely up to you! Ecuador Bike Rental will tailor your adventure to your preferences and ensure top-of-the-line quality assistance, service, and performance. Whichever tour you choose, we’ll make sure you are well taken care of. Additionally, we’ll ensure you have an experience you will never forget. Short Tour SHORT TOUR: 3-5 DAYS. We will begin your adventure at our offices in Quito with a thorough explanation about expectations, road signs. We will also give you a short summary of the tour. This will ensure you’re fully prepared for the journey ahead. After you are acquainted with these points, we will try on the gear and choose the one that better suits you. Finally take you to your motorcycle and show you proper use of its controls. Once you feel comfortable with everything, we will depart on our way. On a short tour, we can go to any of the 3 worlds Ecuador offers, but won’t be able to visit all of them. Only 2 as a maximum. You will take 25 lt. saddlebags on the sides of your motorcycle. Our saddlebags will be enough to carry your non-riding clothes, shoes, personal items, electronic devices, etc. Each motorcycle ride will be from 2-4 hours depending on how far away is our destination. We will stop at key points to do adventure activities. You can stop to see few cultural aspects of each city and stay over at 4-5 star hotels and eco-lodges. Due to the lack of time, our stops at the key points won’t be too long. You won’t have enough time to visit every church, every waterfall, or every craft market we’ll encounter on our way. However, in exchange for this, you will have a lot of riding time on the motorcycle. This will allow you to experience our challenging roads with a beautiful different landscape around you in every turn. Medium Tour You will mostly experience asphalt roads and if you want to we can get into a few short trips off road. It will be a trip that’s 90% asphalt and 10% off-road. Since it’s a short trip, you will definitely have enough space in your saddlebags to carry an outfit for each day of your tour and won’t be needing to do any laundry at hotels. You will have resting time usually at night after our dinner. We seriously recommend it for your safety and better performance when you ride the next morning. If you are looking to ride for medium periods of time, visit a lot of cities, and not stay the night at every single one. Have specific points of adventure and cultural knowledge, then a short trip is for you. Riding around a small country and getting to know 2 of the 3 worlds may be what you want. You may not like to ride in the coast because of its humidity and heat, or you may not like to ride in the Amazon because you’ve been there already. These are all valid reasons that we’d love for you to share with us so we can tailor your adventure for your likes and preferences. We will definitely keep in mind all your suggestions and confirm your tour with you beforehand. Long Tour LONG TOUR: 7-10 DAYS. We will begin your adventure at our offices in Quito with a thorough explanation about expectations, road signs, and a short summary of the tour. After you are acquainted with these points, we will try on the gear and choose the one that better suits you. Finally, take you to your motorcycle and show you proper use of its controls. Once you feel comfortable with everything, we will depart on our way. On a long tour, we can go to all 3 worlds Ecuador has to offer. We can be riding next to beautiful Ecuador beaches in the morning, and in a matter of hours be surrounded by Andes mountains and volcanoes. At night, we’ll be at the Amazon jungle, sharing living space with the native wildlife and indigenous people. Consequently, these are all perks of a long tour that will
